Moving Freight Since 1998

Sam and Diane Spencer established STS Logistics in Ozark, Missouri in 1998 with the dream of building a company based on honesty, integrity, transparency, and treating their people right. Sam had spent his entire adult life in the Less-Than-Truckload industry, including during deregulation, which saw many jobs come and go as LTL carriers cascaded in a domino effect of bankruptcy and failure. In 1993, Sam left LTL and stepped into freight brokerage for the first time working for a Memphis based agent of then Intermodal Transport Company (ITCO), which was acquired by Landstar in 1995 and became Landstar Global Logistics. Sam continued to build a name for himself in the industry becoming the 4th largest carrier for International Paper as a freight broker. Sam’s natural ability and passion for solving whatever problem a customer might have earned him the nickname the “Freight King” by his friends, co-workers, and customers alike. As his two sons, Adam and Alex, graduated school, they stepped into the agency to work alongside their parents. STS Logistics became Spencer Boys Transportation in 2011. In 2013, Sam tragically passed away after a long battle with Diabetes. Adam and Alex stepped into the lead roles alongside Diane to continue building on the foundation their dad had laid for them. Now known as Spencer Global Logistics, the agency consists of 10 personnel managing all modes of transportation across the globe and continues to grow, building on the principles of honesty, integrity, transparency, and treating people right.
